"Debaser is one of our best-selling fragrances. It is a beautiful unctuous fig, 40% oil. You have fresh pear stem in the top, dry blonde woods and tonka bean in the base. Fig is a really pleasing very everyday, very universal. So it's always kind of interesting and so sophisticated, but it's fresh and fruity as well. And, yeah, it rocks."

Music is essential to life. I was born in a house of blues—dad’s from Chicago. At 9 I went to camp on an island. Cool older punk kids showed me the Misfits and the Pixies. (One of those kids was actually comedian Rob Delaney).

That summer was ruled by Doolittle. The provocative lyrics. The cackle of Frank Black. I absorbed it in the summer heat. August humidity. Young romance.

Our Debaser scent is hot, humid, sexy.

Green stems, deep purple fig, soft blond woods, a wet white ethereal musk, and the coumarin-vanillic note of tonka bean.

Fig

Fig is crowd pleaser. It’s an accord made of molecules that smell of milky coconuts and tomato leaves respectively. Fig has become something of its own genre often blended with green notes, flowers, and wood.

Coconut

Coconut is a lactonic, sweet fatty accord that we use to recall islands and the tropics. It works well with tropical flowers and harmonizes well with woods.

Tonka

A delicious gourmand bean full of coumarin—a vanilla-like chemical found in hay & wild grasses. Sweet like dessert, grassy like the countryside.
